Ascend Content Academy

everything you get, and the order you use it in

what you are learning to run

CDM is content distribution marketing. You are not the clipper, you are not the ad person, and you are not the videographer. You own the whole engine: the research, the concepts, the scripts, the creative direction, the testing, and the report that goes back to the client every week. The business owner hits record. Everything after that is you.

founder capture psychology-driven scripting editing oversight multi-channel distribution

the person who owns the strategy is the person the business cannot function without

That loop is the product. The program teaches you to run it, and hands you the software to run it inside of. Six weeks of curriculum, then implementation, with the whole thing built around a deliverable every week that exists in the real world.

The core

ascend os

This is the software I built to run Ascend Content. It is not a template pack and it is not a Notion dashboard that someone repackaged. It is the system my agency operates inside of every day, and you get your own instance of it.

Most programs teach you a business model and then leave you to duct tape twelve tools together to actually run it. You finish the modules and hit an operations wall in week one. This removes that wall before you start. You are running the same infrastructure I run, on the same day you join.

The training

the curriculum

The full video module library, taught across six weeks: personal branding, content strategy, backend systems, AI systems and workflows, and team building. Chaptered, so you can watch it in order the first time and go back to one specific thing later.

You are joining to learn a business. You will also learn to build a personal brand, because that is the client acquisition channel. It is not a bonus module sitting off to the side. It is week three, and it is how the clients find you.

The bench

the editor portal

Over 150 editors who applied to work for me directly. You hire out of the same bench, filterable by availability, what they edit on, and experience level.

The first thing you do after closing a client is hire an editor. That is the step where most people stall for three weeks posting in Facebook groups and hiring badly, and edit quality feeds straight into whether a client stays. You skip the search entirely and hire out of a pool that already put their hand up for this work.

coaching, cohort, sops

Live callsCoaching, teardowns, brand audits and hot seats. Every week has one, and they run on real accounts and real client work rather than hypotheticals.
1:1 coaching
on your build, not a generic one

Your positioning, your personal brand, and your agency build. Worked through out loud with you so you see the thinking, not handed to you as a finished answer.

The cohort
people in the same week as you

Everyone moving through the six weeks at the same time, hitting the same walls in the same order, in one channel.

SOPs
the documents, not summaries

Script writing, managing a team, running the agency end to end. The actual files we work from, dropped into your OS.

The six weeks

the order you actually do it in

One pillar per week. Each week switches on a specific part of Ascend OS, so you learn the software by using it rather than by taking a tour of it. Each week ends with something real: a positioning statement, a content plan, a page that is posting, a pipeline, a month delivered, an editor hired.

Week
01

the model and your positioning

You understand what CDM actually is, why it gets paid for, and where you specifically fit into it. Ascend OS is live and configured.

What you learn
  • What CDM is, and what it is not. Not SMMA, not ad buying, not clipping.
  • The four part engine, start to finish: founder capture, psychology-driven scripting, editing oversight, multi-channel distribution.
  • Why the strategist is the person the business cannot function without. Skill versus seat.
  • Market awareness and levels of awareness, the framework everything downstream sits on.
  • Your entry lane. No skill, editor, videographer, or copywriter and sales. What each one carries in, and what each one has to unlearn.
  • Retainer reality. What a monthly retainer actually buys, and what it costs you to deliver it.

Positioning, worked through out loud and individually. How to position yourself and what angle you lead with given what you already are. You see the thought process, not just the answer.

Deliverable

A written positioning statement and a first pass offer with a price attached, loaded into your OS.

Done when

You can say in one sentence who you serve and what you run for them.

Week
02

creative strategy

You can build a real content plan for a business that is not your own. This is the week the actual skill gets built.

What you learn
  • Taste. Why the instinct is already there, and what reframing it means. Pulling apart exactly why a video stopped you.
  • Ethos, pathos and logos applied to short form. The psychology layer, and the why underneath it.
  • Competitor and market research. Which platforms to research on, and what you are actually looking for.
  • The competitor research IG agent. How to run it and how to read what comes back.
  • Concept generation. Creative blocks as a daily practice, so ideas are a system and not a mood.
  • Scripting. Structure, hook, format, and how to write in someone else's voice.
  • Hook variation. How many, how to make them differ, and what you are testing for.
  • The testing loop. Twenty creatives, three to five hook variants, trial reels, finding the outlier, then rebuilding the winner with new hooks.
  • The content philosophy doc, the framework used on every client.

Live call

A live teardown. Bring a real business and watch the strategy get built in front of you.

Deliverable

A full content plan for a real business. Research, ten concepts, three written scripts with hook variants, built inside the OS.

Done when

You have a work sample. It doubles as the thing you put in front of a buyer in week four.

Week
03

personal branding

Your own brand is live and posting. This is not a soft week. It is the acquisition channel.

What you learn
  • Why personal brand is the highest leverage way to get clients in this model.
  • Documented, not created. Building in public while you still have nothing to show.
  • Account architecture. Main page versus secondary page, and what belongs where.
  • Feed versus stories. What each one is for, and why CTAs live in one and not the other.
  • The weekly story sequence. A named purpose per day, mapped and calendared.
  • Content pillars for an operator. The journey, the pivot, the teaching.
  • Filming. Batch setup, what you need and what you do not.
  • Being on camera when you are not comfortable on camera.

Live call

Deliverable

Done when

You are publishing. Not planning to publish.

Week
04

client acquisition

Pipeline running, calls on the calendar.

What you learn
  • Who buys. ICPs, what makes a good first client, and what makes a nightmare one.
  • Outbound. The actual method, the volume to expect, and what to send.
  • Inbound. How content generates the call, lead magnets, ManyChat.
  • Referrals and network. The fastest path and the most underused one.
  • The sales conversation. Diagnosing, framing CDM against whatever they have already tried, and handling the "I can get someone cheaper" objection.
  • Pricing your first client, and what to say when they push.
  • Proposals, contracts, and collecting payment.
  • Onboarding. What happens in the first 72 hours after they say yes.

Deliverable

Done when

Conversations are happening with real buyers.

Week
05

the fulfillment engine

You can deliver a full month for a paying client without it eating your life.

What you learn
  • Founder capture. Getting usable raw footage out of a business owner who does not want to film.
  • Running the weekly loop end to end.
  • Editing oversight. Directing, not editing, and how to give feedback that actually changes an edit.
  • Quality standards, and why bad edits are the number one reason clients leave.
  • Distribution at volume. Formats, platforms, and scheduling.
  • Analytics and the weekly report. The loop that makes you hard to replace.
  • What to do when a client's content is not performing.
  • Communication cadence, scope creep, and managing expectations.

Done when

The loop has run once, start to finish.

Week
06

team, systems and scale

The business runs on something other than your own hours.

What you learn
  • The first hire is always an editor. When, at what rate, and how to pay them.
  • Using the editor portal. Filtering by availability, software and experience, what to look for, and what to test with.
  • The trial process. How to hire without gambling.
  • Managing editors. Expectations, deadlines, feedback loops, and when to cut someone.
  • What to hire second and third, and what never to delegate.
  • Internal structure. Notion, Slack, client comms, payments.
  • SOPs. Using the ones you are given, and writing your own.
  • AI systems and n8n workflows. What to automate and what to leave human. No AI slop.
  • Capacity math. How many clients you can hold at what team size.
  • Raising prices and moving up market.

Live call

Systems review. You walk through your own setup and it gets pulled apart.

Deliverable

An editor hired or a trial started, SOPs live in your OS, and a written capacity plan.

Done when

There is a business, not a job.

The rest of the 90 days

then the part that actually decides it

No new modules. The container stays open for the thing that determines outcomes, which is doing it with someone watching.

What continues

  • Coaching continues on the same cadence
  • Weekly hot seats on live client work
  • Community and support channel
  • OS access continues, permanently

Why it is built this way

  • Six weeks is enough to teach the skill
  • Ninety days is when people land and hold clients
  • The gap between knowing it and running it is where most programs quit
  • So the curriculum is six weeks and the container is 90 days
The guarantee

you land your first paying client within 90 days

Follow the step by step process and you will land your first paying client inside 90 days. If you do that and it has not happened, we keep working with you for free until it does.

The weekly deliverable at the end of each of the six weeks is the process. It is how we both know it was followed.

Before we talk

you have seen the whole thing now

Which means the call does not have to be spent explaining the mechanics. It can be spent on whether this fits you specifically, and what your first ninety days would actually look like. Three things worth having ready.

Come in with these
  1. Where you are coming in from. The skill you already have, what you are doing with it now, and what it currently pays.
  2. The hours you can honestly give this each week. The real number, not the ambitious one. It changes what the first six weeks look like for you.
  3. What you want to be running ninety days from now. Even roughly. It is the thing we work backwards from.

Bring questions. Anything in here you want pulled apart, we will pull apart on the call.
